Milestone Progression
Experience based progression is hard to keep track of and do all the math for. Milestone is infinitely easier on the DM.
Basically, the players level up when they’ve reached a certain milestone in the game.
Max HP
Instead of rolling a dice to see how many hit points you gain, you take the maximum amount.
Not Everything Matters
It's cool to keep track of ammo, rations, and other things in theory, but can be kind of a slog in practice.
This only really applies to thing's like ammunition and food and water outside of specific situations where it would be necessary to keep track, such as a high intensity survival situation.
